Grant Douglas is a 2017 RHP with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Summit, NJ who attends Summit High School. Large, athletic frame with long limbs and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout body. Primary righthanded pitcher, shows nice rhythm and tempo to delivery, begins with a short rock step moving into high leg kick with a slight pause at the top. Shows good direction to the plate and works to a tight three-quarters release point with ability to create occasional plane to fastball. Works quick and exclusively out of the stretch, lives down in zone and topped out at 75 mph with fastball. Fills up the strike zone with short running life to arm side, has nice feel to mix, curveball shows 11-5 shape with short depth. Straight changeup, will have to maintain arm speed better on the pitch but shows a feel at present for the pitch. Very good student.
