Tyler Spaulding is a 2022 2B/3B with a 5-6 145 lb. frame from Queensbury, NY who attends Queensbury Senior. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 6.99 seconds. Hits from spread and slightly open stance, gets barrel on plane early, middle-field approach, good balance to swing, line drive swing plane with good barrel skills, will continue improving as he gains strength and gets more out of lower half, shows good feel for contact as well as the ability to work to all fields. Worked out in the infield, solid first step quickness, positions himself well and gets in good fielding position, athleticism is evident, fields cleanly and stays balanced through movements, clocked up to 78 mph on throws. Excellent student.
