Pierce Coppola is a 2021 LHP/1B with a 6-8 215 lb. frame from Verona, NJ who attends Verona. Extremely long and lanky build, high waist and long limbs with square shoulders. High leg lift delivery with an extended 3/4's arm slot, arm works loose and free with big extension out front, ball comes out of his hand easily, front side mechanics tend to be inconsistent but understandable given his long levers and age. Fastball topped out a 93 mph early, velocity comes easily and there is plenty more there as he physically matures. Slurve type breaking ball can show impressive depth at times, has confidence in his change up and it should be a solid pitch for him moving forward. Very high ceiling talent. Good student, verbal commitment to Virginia. Named to play in the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
