Dawson Jones is a 2024 LHP with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Roswell, GA who attends Pope. Medium build with plenty of room to get stronger. Leg tuck delivery with a gather over the rubber, compact arm action with a 3/4's arm slot, repeats his mechanics well. Three-pitch southpaw who mixes his pitches well and keeps hitters off balance. Fastball worked in the upper 70's and topped out at 81 mph with some occasional late life, threw a sweeping curveball for strikes, showed feel and fade on a low 70's change up. Effective outing. Has been up to 83-85 mph at PG tournaments this summer. Good student.
