Jacob Hernandez is a 2017 3B/RHP/OF with a 6-2 135 lb. frame from Missouri City, TX who attends Ridgepoint HS. Tall, very slender young build, minimal present strength. Right handed hitter, long loose swing, pulls barrel through the zone, has a good hand path and makes consistent contact with some leverage at contact, has an idea of the strike zone and swings at good pitches to hit, should continue to improve with additional strength. 7.43 runner, moves well in the infield, fields the ball out front with soft hands, charges the ball with balance, compact arm action with developing arm strength. Also plays the outfield and pitches. Over the top arm slot on the mound, fastball topped out at 70 mph. Good student.
