Brett Holtz is a 2017 1B/OF with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from White Plains, NY who attends Valhalla HS. Extra-large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and a long, projectable frame with room to add additional strength. Primary first baseman, shows sound footwork around the bag, short arm action with arm strength that will continue to develop, fields the ball out front. Left-handed hitter, starts with an upright stance, slightly open and a high, loose hand set. Line drive swing plane with occasional lift at contact, opens front side early at times but consistently get the barrel to the ball and shows some strength to all fields. Up the middle approach with nice bat speed coming through the zone. Outstanding student.
