2016 Southeast Top Prospect Showcase
Jaree Pledger is a 2017 OF with a 5-10 195 lb. frame from Monroe, GA who attends Walnut Grove HS. Medium frame with physical, athletic present build and good projection remaining. Ran extremely well, clocking a 6.62 seconds 60 yard dash time. Sets up to hit from slightly open stance with leg lift timer step, medium-high hand set with elasticity through load, gets lower half involved and drives hips through contact. Shows good bat speed with quick hands to and through the zone, lofted swing plane with good strength at contact, able to drive the ball deep with authority and projection for more power down the road. Worked out defensively in the outfield, showing extremely well out there. Fields out front with clean hands, very athletic actions to and through fielding the baseball, transfers cleanly and gets off very strong throws to infield target with good accuracy, clocked up to 88 MPH on those throws. Named to 2016 Southeast Top Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
