Cole Chesnet is a 2018 C/2B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Coatesville, PA who attends Coatesville Area. Medium frame with an athletic build. Projects for additional size with strength. Right handed hitter with a slightly open stance. Shows a compact linear swing plane with a mid-field approach. Consistent barrel contact with strength throughout batting practice while working the gaps. Plus balance in swing with the ability to hit to all fields when necessary. Worked out defensively from behind the plate showing a low set with good hip flexion. Moves well behind the plate with soft, clean hands while receiving. Explodes from set while throw generating good momentum and direction to second base. Shows compact actions through footwork and transition. Baseball comes out of hand clean, quick and with on line carry. Best pop time of 1.95 in workouts. Solid skill set behind the plate that projects well for the next level. Good student as well. Named to the 2016 Northeast Indoor Showcase-PA Top Prospect List.
