Jackson Kimbrell is a 2019 LHP/OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Birmingham, AL who attends Oak Mountain HS. Broad shouldered athletic build, good present strength with room for more. Side step/leg raise delivery with a rotational upper half, big hip turn but gets on line and uses his lower half well. Fastball to 88 mph, gets good running action on it and works it low in the zone. Big sweeping curveball has good spin and depth, lands it effectively to right handed hitters when he stays back on it. Did not see a change up. Made good in game and was effective. Right handed hitter, deep arm bar load but gets the barrel going out front and gets off his backside well, solid gap to gap contact. Very good student, verbal commitment to Mississippi.
