Tyler Ras is a 2018 RHP/OF with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Middletown, NJ who attends Middletown North HS. Tall athletic build, projects well physically. Long and loose arm action, stays on top of the ball well and creates angle to the plate, medium effort on release. Steady low 90's fastball, topped out at 93 mph, lots of late life at the plate. Has good feel for his change up with big velocity separation. Slurve type breaking ball with sweeping break can be tightened up. Switch-hitter, narrow open stance from both sides better shift into contact and bat speed from the left side. Showed his athleticism and arm strength well in the outfield. Good student, verbal commitment to Alabama.
