Ryan Coscarella is a 2018 SS/OF with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Palm Bay, FL who attends Melbourne Central Catholic High School. Younger player with a lean, slender build, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.17 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, moved well to the ball up the middle, very smooth actions while on the move. Clean actions through the ball with smooth and easy transfer. Developing arm strength from the infield, but was up to 84 mph in outfield drills. At the plate, started with a tall stance, open base, and used a simple leg lift timing mechanism. Shifted well into contact with compact hands to the ball. Short leveraged swing with a line drive swing path. Balanced throughout swing and worked up the middle and pull side. Very good student. Named to the Top Prospect List.
