Emilio Guglielmelli is a 2016 LHP with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Upland, CA who attends South Hills HS. Medium, athletic frame with long limbs and a lean, projectable build with room to fill out. Primary left-handed pitcher, shows a long and loose arm action through the backside working to a high three-quarter release point. Small side step into delivery, hip turn at top of leg lift in delivery and hides ball well behind, high front side towards the plate and creates deception towards the hitters. Fastball topped out at 77 mph, shows some running life to arm side and sink when down in zone, throws strikes and shows nice command overall. Similar feel for curveball, big 1-7 shape at 61 mph and mixing effectively in the zone. Shows similar arm speed on changeup as fastball, gets hitters out front and off balance. Very good student.
