Cole McNamee is a 2017 1B/3B/RHP with a 6-4 230 lb. frame from Milton, GA who attends Blessed Trinity Catholic HS. Extra big and strong build, stands out on the field, looks like an SEC linebacker. Runs well for his size, 7.04 in the sixty, has solid actions defensively at first base, has soft hands and good one-spot athleticism, fields the ball cleanly out front, looked more comfortable at first base but was plenty playable at third base as well, as the raw arm strength for the position. Right handed hitter, deep hand load from a wide base, shifts to his front side early and hits out front, has lift in his swing, length in swing creates some timing issues but the raw power is impressive when he's timed and squared up. Good student, verbal commitment to Wake Forest.
