Is a good receiver behind the plate, works with his pitcher well and has good lateral movement which allows him to block balls well. Has a short quick arm action with a good transfer and quick actions. Has a wide base at the plate with a quiet load at the plate with an aggressive power approach. Is a gap to gap hitter with lots of power in his bat, shows good bat speed with a level line drive swing and makes consistent hard contact. Is an extremely good student.
