Dalton Griffin is a 2016 OF/LHP with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Guyton, GA who attends South Effingham HS. Big broad shouldered build, athletic look and actions, high waist, still has some projection left. 6.97 runner, very strong outfield arm, gets on top of the ball well, accurate throws, fields the ball out front well, can improve lower half use for even more raw arm strength and carry. Left handed hitter, starts open, deep hand load with a long path back to even, has quick hands and generates lots of bat speed, loose swing with good separation out front, ball comes off the barrel hard, lots of power potential, timing is not always consistent but big results when timing works. Should continue to improve in all areas with repetitions. Verbal commitment to South Carolina.
