Zachary Houston is a 2013 RHP/1B with a 6-6 210 lb. frame from Poplarville, MS who attends Poplarville HS. Large long limbed, slope shouldered build, very projectable. Full hands over head delivery, deep extended arm circle, smooth arm coming through, extended 3/4's release point, good downhill angle. Tends to rush from stretch and shorten arm circle, loses significant velocity. Fastball from windup 88-91 mph, more mid 80's from stretch. Off speed pitches still developing, tends to lower slot and slow arm, flashes good curveball depth at times. High ceiling potential with easy arm and plus build, patience required. Good student.
