Hunter Stept is a 2015 SS/RHP with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Coral Springs, FL who attends Pompano Beach HS. Medium, athletic build, lean projectable frame. Ran a 7.37 60 yard dash. Primary middle infielder, shows sound defensive tools, fluid footwork, works through ground balls well, quick arm with some strength that will continue to develop. Loose, easy arm action. On the mound, throws from a three-quarter arm slot with a clean, long arm action. Fastball topped at 78 mph, occasionally getting sinking action. Has a feel for loose spinning 11/5 curveball. Right handed batter who starts from a slightly open base, stays balanced throughout. Swing is short and compact with fluidity and quickness. Consistent hard line drive contact, simple mechanics, with some pop to pull side. Excellent student. Named to the National Underclass Main Event Top Prospect Team.
