Mason Cathcart is a 2012 RHP/3B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Greenville, SC who attends J L Mann HS. Tall athletic build, projectable, good pitcher's body. High 3/4 arm slot, short compact arm action, loose, arm works well, good armside run on fastball, tight 11-5 curveball, deceptive delivery, uses lower half well, good upside on the mound. Good raw hitting tools, has strength in swing, ball jumps, stays inside the ball, will improve with slight adjustments in approach. Clean infield actions, arm works, projects well at 3B. Solid student. Named to Top Prospect Team.
