Gavin Stupienski is a 2012 C/IF, 1B with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Columbus, NJ who attends The Hun School of Princeton. Good, athletic build with strength and room to fill. Good receiving tools behind the plate. Catches easily, transfer is good, quick release and arm strength was some of best of day. Tools to improve behind the plate. Left-handed batter with a slightly open stance. Aggressive approach with strength in swing and a pull approach. Good swing plane and contact skills. Stays inside the ball well, has present pop and projects for more. Triple in Saturday game was hardest hit ball of showcase. Good student. Interesting prospect to watch.
