Bobby Poyner is a 2011 LHP with a 6-0 186 lb. frame from Wellington, FL who attends Palm Beach Central HS. Medium build, some present strength. Simple leg raise delivery, stays balanced, hides ball well with compact arm action, some fall off to 3B on release. 82-84 mph fastball, throws FB to spots, CB has some depth and tight spin, tended to drop slot on Chg but good run/sink. Mixed up his pitches, got outs quickly. Very good student.
