Brian McDonough is a 2012 OF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Newtown Square, PA who attends Malvern Prep. Lean athlete who projects. Short, choppy steps on approach to the ball in the outfield. Fielding is clean and transfer is smooth. Projects to gain more arm strength. Right-handed bat with a quiet approach at the plate. Does a good job of staying inside the ball and has good contact skills. Made hard line drive contact with more pop to come with additional strength. Very good student.
