Ameen Khan is a 2029 RHP/1B/3B with a 5-10 130 lb. frame from Chicago, IL. Medium, long limbed frame with a young, lean build and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 9.41 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, works exclusively out of the stretch, gets tall on backside, can continue to engage additional lower half into drive down the mound; lands slightly closed with strike foot, shows some quickness throughout while working to a lower three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, worked around the zone and mixed three pitches with comfort. Shorter slider up to 64 mph with lateral shape and flashes of depth; changeup shows nice depth and fading life up to 62 mph, threw it well to lefty bats. Young actions in the infield with developing footwork, shorter steps on the move and shows accuracy on throws across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and an upright stance with a high back elbow, utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Contact oriented approach, works on a linear path through the zone with a full finish through the point of contact. Shows some present hand speed in swing, hits the ball out front and swings with some intent. Excellent student.
