Holden Howard is a 2030 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-8 129 lb. frame from Chapin, SC who attends Chapin. Lean young build with lots of time and room to get stronger. 7.33 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, moving well on his feet and showing solid range in all directions. Uses appropriately short arm path to produce throws up to 76 mph across the diamond. Glove action is soft with accuracy, securing the ball with ease. Reps in the OF as well, working glove to the side into midline transfer. A bit of air under the throws here but accurate and up to 79 mph here. Secondary RHP, working from the stretch only, using belt high leg lift to gather and breaks hands at belly into medium inline path. Super repeatable delivery with an easy presentation, clean direction and gets over front side well. FB up to 77 mph with run to the arm side. Good shape to the slider in the upper-60s and the makings of a quality changeup as well. LHH working from a narrow start, using medium leg lift and clean handset to get started. Emerging strength in hands, turns hard in the core to get the most out of body and shows solid feel for barrel. Needs to hold posture on outside pitch to stay on plane but the bat path works overall. Nice two-way projectable skillset to follow.
