Gavin Cobb is a 2030 3B/RHP/OF with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Satellite Beach, FL who attends Satellite. Long and slender young build with lots of time and room to get stronger. 7.81 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, works through the ball well and fields it cleanly, clean and quick transfers, compact arm action with some young carry on his throws, changed arm slots well on the move, solid overall actions. Also worked out in the outfield. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with an upper body rotational swing, hand drop load, longer pull oriented swing path, can make adjustments to get into his lower half more for improved bat speed. Took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch with a high 3/4's arm slot, gets down the mound well and gets extension out front, has some deception in his mechanics that made his stuff play up. Fastball topped out at 77 mph with some ride up in the zone. Breaking ball had some tightness and depth and showed some ability to add and subtract from it. Flashed a developing change up. Excellent student.
