Davis Lanham is a 2030 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-4 185 lb. frame from Harrisburg, NC who attends Hickory Ridge. Large frame with lean musculature and super projection for future physicality. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.55 seconds. Primary position 1B, using big strides to cover ground, putting himself in good position to field with well developed glove work. Feel around the bag with good footwork on his turns and plenty of arm strength generating feeds up to 83 mph around the diamond. Reps in the OF as well, moving aggressively to the ball with emerging glove work here. Deeper nine arm path working uphill to release with feeds up to 82 mph here. Secondary position LHP, working from the full windup with a belt high leg lift and getting into his back leg early as he transitions down the slope. Crossfire look with a touch of stride across his midline creating a tough deceptive look for opposing hitters. Breaks hands at the chin and works through a very deep offline arm path before accelerating through a very low 3/4 arm angle. Deliberate mechanics with emerging command of his 3-pitch mix. FB up to 80 mph with heavy run and sinking action, backed up with a sweeping SL in the mid-60s and sinks his CH running it away from righties. Unique look to follow here. LHH starting with a medium inline stance, hands are in a good spot and show life. Bigger leg lift causing some timing issues early in the round with a move to the backside but there is plenty of leverage to be found here. Tilting back to elevate and getting the barrel out front with a bit of an uphill attack angle, getting the ball airborne. Plenty of projection with the stick and on the bump to follow in the coming months.
