2025 PG Pittsburgh Indoor Showcase
Tanner DeStefano is a 2028 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Irwin, PA who attends Penn Trafford. Stocky and strong build, especially for his age and class. Right handed hitter, starts from a medium straight stance with a low hand load and a short stride into contact, sinks into his hips well, swings hard and has some young bat speed and hand quickness, not consistent in his path and timing yet but flashes the ability to impact the ball hard when it comes all together, projects well as a hitter with repetitions. 8.00 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense who profiles at third base moving forward, tends to get his glove down late, compact arm action with good accuracy and developing arm strength, charged the ball well. Also worked out in the outfield. Took a turn on the mound, works from a full wind up and a high 3/4's arm slot that creates good downhill angle, varies his tempo with different leg kick variations. Fastball topped out at 76 mph and is thrown consistently for strikes. Added and subtracted from his curveball with good feel and sequenced his pitches well. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
