2023 WWBA Summer Workout Showcase (July 12)
Cole Carpenter is a 2027 OF/RHP, 3B, UT with a 5-11 140 lb. frame from Chattanooga, TN who attends Silverdale Baptist Academy. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a young build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.34 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball out front with two hands, short stride in lower half moving into release, generates energy into release and can continue to incorporate additional lower half into actions, works around the bag, deliberate tempo to gather. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Slight hand pull back at start of load, utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing. Keeps hands inside the baseball and remains compact with swing overall. Gets to front side early at times, handsy swing with a linear path through the zone, showed comfort working to the pull side. Excellent student.
