Matteo Panciera is a 2027 SS/RHP/3B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Mystic, CT who attends Stonington. Medium frame and stronger lower half with some athleticism throughout. Shows some physicality throughout, especially in the lower half. Ran a 7.15 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop who worked out at the position, throwing 73 mph across the diamond. He stayed low to the ground with clean exchanges and developing arm speed that showed. He was accurate across the diamond, working through it with intent. He showed some feel for the backhand. A right-handed hitter with a wider base, tight hands, and a more spastic trigger. He has a higher back elbow as he sets up, creating some separation. He stayed through it and was able to shoot balls to the opposite field during BP as well. He showed some strength to the middle of the field as well. He got some jump off of it when synced up. Produced an 85 mph exit velocity during DK testing & found a few barrels in-game. Took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher, working from the third-base side of the rubber. He had a forward step to compress the slab and get into a belt-high leg lift. Showed a medium arm swing into a three-quarters arm slot with a compact delivery working through it. He hid the ball well and worked directly to the plate. Fastball working 71-76 mph during the outing, controlling the zone with the pitch. Showed a low-60s curveball with good depth to it. Showed some pace to the actions throughout his couple innings of work. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
