Antonio Libranti is a 2029 SS/RHP with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Wantagh, NY who attends Wantagh. Features a slender build with some beginning lower-half strength. Ran a 7.57 60-yard dash. Primarily a shortstop defensively, showing fine overall movement with enough footwork and glove ability to make the routine plays. Uses a longer arm action with some stiffness through the exchange and limited present arm strength, though he showed the ability to field cleanly to both sides and handle a slow roller. At the plate, hits from a narrow base with low hands and a toe-tap timing trigger. Can struggle to stay connected through the swing, with an arm bar and rotational movements leading to some loss of body control and limited present impact. The barrel works with some feel/accuracy into contact, but he was frequently underneath the baseball producing avg. flyball contact. On the mound, works from a belt-high leg lift with drop-and-drive mechanics and a medium stride down the mound. Uses a long arm circle to a high 3/4 slot with average arm speed for his level. Fastball worked in the low 70s with mostly straight 4S action and average strike-throwing ability. Breaking ball is in the early stages, showing limited present spin traits and efficiency but showed ability to land. Athleticism gives him some foundation to work from, with continued physical development and refinement of the offensive and pitching mechanics important moving forward.
