Asher Williams is a 2029 3B/RHP/C with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Saint George, UT who attends Desert Hills. Large, physical frame with plenty of strength present and more to project for. 7.38 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman, works through the baseball with shorter strides. Showed some feel for moving laterally and adjusting the glove. Releases the baseball from an over-the-top slot. Delivered accurate throws across the diamond up to 78 mph. Secondary catcher, set up in a bent-knee stance and works uphill out of the set. Gains limited ground during the transfer phase while separating into a shorter arm path. Kept his throws around the bag while recording arm strength up to 70 mph with a pop-time of 2.18 sec. Right-handed batter, starts in a balanced stance with a high back elbow. Utilizes a hanging leg lift for timing. Creates good separation and whip to the barrel. Impacted the baseball with easy strength to the pull-side and middle of the field during batting practice. Looks to create lift and backspin out front. Projects well as a power hitter. Posted an exit velocity of 97 mph. Great student. Named to play in the Perfect Game 14U Select Festival.
