Jean Carlos Gomez is a 2027 SS/2B with a 5-3 107 lb. frame from Laurel, MS who attends West Jones. Smaller build. In the infield, he preps well and shows good rhythm and timing working in the hole to the backhand. The range itself isn't overly noteworthy but gets to the fielding point on time. The arm was good enough to get outs on time across the diamond and should improve with further physical maturity. At the plate, he sets up with medium base and open stance. The bat speed and strength at impact is so clearly still developing and should improve dramatically in the coming months and years. The swing shows early signs of connection which is promising for his future. 8.68 60-yard.
