Ace Loftus is a 2029 OF/1B/IF with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Bradenton, FL who attends IMG Academy. Large frame with lean musculature and present strength, showing plenty of projection for future added physicality. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.68 seconds. Primary position OF, coming to get the ball with good aggression and some first step quickness. Developing feel for the glove but gets it out front appropriately into a clean midline transfer. Full arm path working inline and generating nice one hop throws to bags up to 83 mph. Reps at 1B as well, showing comfort around the bag with appropriate footwork and feel for the plays. Longer take away to throw with emerging accuracy on feeds here. Big target who projects well in a corner infield or outfield position. LHH working from a wider and slightly open stance, using a lower handset to get started. Hanging leg lift for timing and working the barrel around the ball showing lofted pull side power. Best bat speed yet ahead of him but the operation sets the stage for big power longterm.
