2023 High School All State Select Championship (2026-2027 Grads)
Easton Newman is a 2026 SS/OF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Deerfield, IL who attends Deerfield. Slender young athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. 6.97 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has a quick first step and very good lateral range, has soft hands and fields the ball easily with good balance, plenty of arm strength and ability to change arm angles, stood out defensively in the games, plays with rhythm and an internal clock. Right handed hitter, hits from a balanced stance with a short and simple stride into his swing, line drive swing plane, can get long at times but has some bat speed and hand quickness to work with, best working middle to oppo. Defense will carry him while he develops strength and bat speed. Good student. Named to the HS All-State Select Championship Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
