Frank Boutot is a 2024 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Plantsville, CT who attends Southington. Nice athletic build with a good combination of length and strength, projects well physically. 7.89 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, shows good athleticism in his actions with good lateral agility, has some idea on his footwork fundamentals, good arm strength for the position. Left handed hitter, hits from a tall stance with a deep hand load, hangs his front leg as a timer, long and loose swing good extension, has some juice in the barrel and has present power with more to come. Also pitched, has a medium length arm action that hides the ball well, high 3/4's arm slot, pretty low effort mechanics, can work down the mound better for more consistent location down in the zone. Fastball topped out at 80 mph with more there in the future. Gets some vertical depth on a mid 60's curveball.
