Charlie Renco is a 2025 MIF/RHP with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Cambridge, ON. Large, athletic frame with a high waist and a lean build, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 6.99 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, takes short steps to the ball when moving on the approach, fields it out front and glove skills play consistently at the ball, overall footwork will continue to develop moving forward, shows nice arm strength and carry on throws across the diamond. Also pitched, worked exclusively out of the stretch, slight drop and drive through lower half, coil at top of leg lift and maintains nice tempo coming down the mound. Shorter arm stroke through the backside, worked to a high three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 80 mph with some life through the zone, life plays up best when elevated and can miss bats. Worked around zone with heater, mixed a slider into the mid-60s with short action, will continue to refine a consistent release for the pitch. Left-handed hitter, begins with a spread stance in the box and shows looseness to hands in swing. Shorter shift through lower half, projects well with added physical strength, shows comfort turning on the ball and has a present handle for the barrel, works on a mostly linear plane, can incorporate more extension into swing. Named to the PG CPBL Fall Top Prospect List.
