Jake Ostertag is a 2027 OF/RHP, 3B with a 6-2 166 lb. frame from Babylon, NY who attends Babylon. Slender, long levered frame with a slender build and plenty of room to physically mature. Recorded a 7.66 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary outfielder with sound defensive skill set and present arm strength. Fields properly off his front foot, gathers cleanly and transitions well with maintained momentum into release. Produced fairly accurate throws up to 82 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with a slightly coiled leg lift into balance and medium stride length out to foot strike. Deceptive delivery with some moving parts to disrupt hitters timing. Fastball worked in the mid-to-upper 70s for the duration of his outing, peaked at 81 mph in this look from a higher three-quarters arm slot. Developing command with some heaviness to his fastball, flashed faded changeup with promising profile and showed developing feel for spin that will continue to improve with proper mechanical adjustments and additional velocity. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, even base with pre-set hand start and small stride into launch. Lofted stroke with rotational lower half mechanics and middle-of-the field approach. Developing feel for the barrel, some strength in his hands and plenty of components to project on moving forward. Young, projectable frame with tons of physical upside.
