Chance Kidd is a 2029 C/3B with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Dallas, TX who attends Prestonwood Christian Academy. Larger frame with dense strength and good athleticism for a power oriented prospect. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.62 seconds. Primary position C, starting with a well-balanced initial stance, working deliberately out of the crouch. Knows how to use the leather and works to a clean midline transfer, setting the stage for a quick release. Gets a little bit high on initial move towards the bag but does have nice arm strength. Generated throws up to 78 mph across the diamond with a pop-time best 2.09 seconds. Secondary position IF, showing good footwork and understanding angles on the clay. Presents glove well, picking the ball clean and has emerging overall lateral mobility. Nice feeds across up to 82 mph with clean rotation and carry. RHP, working with lower leg lift and getting down the mound with clean direction. Accelerates through a high 3/4 arm angle and showed a firm fastball up to 84 mph with average spin traits. Bigger curve with vertical shape in the mid-60s and tumbling CH with deadening spin showing fade at the dish. RHH working from a strong, balanced stance with a high handset and high back elbow and small leg lift to get started. Really generates bat speed and impacts with aggression to do damage. Accesses strong base and lets hands deliver the barrel out front. Real power potential and middle of the order type stick. Named to play in the Perfect Game 14U Select Festival.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
