Angel Vargas is a 2028 MIF/RHP/3B with a 5-7 148 lb. frame from Clinton, SC who attends Clinton. Smaller young build. Right handed hitter, hits from a balanced straight stance, moves into contact well, inside swing path, works middle away while showing an accurate barrel, bat speed will continue to improve with additional strength. 7.03 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, moves well to the ball and is light on his feet, balanced actions, gathers the ball cleanly and has a quick release, arm strength best suited to second base. Secondary right-handed pitcher, full wind-up, LL above the belt line, slight coil into hip at apex of lift, tick higher 3/4 slot release, repeats motion well and looks athletic throughout the process, some bend on the CB in the upper 60's, should continue to throw harder as he gains strength.
