2026 PG National West Showcase
Nate McMahon is a 2029 SS/RHP/3B with a 6-0 156 lb. frame from Chandler, AZ who attends Basha. Features a medium sized lean build with room to add strength/mass. Ran a 7.89 60-yd dash. In the INF, showed developing actions. Waits back with feet before starting to work through. Doesn't get set fully down into posture. Solid glove work to both sides fielding everything clean. Slower in working to release with a couple extra gathers and glove taps before getting off throws. Used a shorter arm action that got off accurate throws with avg. strength across. At the plate, works from a narrow and open stance. Uses a medium leg lift trigger that gets him moving forward but with minimal backside engagement. Handsy swing that work the barrel on a tight uphill path through the zone. Avg. bat/hand speed for his level. Inconsistent timing and barrel feel with some stiffness in releasing it out front. When on-time produced a couple quality middle of the field barrels. On the mound, side steps into a mid-chest lift and gets down the mound with avg. on-line length. Used a medium arm action out the back that hides a bit and then works up to a normal 3/4 slot. FB showed some natural cutting action through the zone at 73-76. Mixed in an upper 60s slider with shorter depthy shape that pdroduced a whiff during his outing.
