Adam Ornelas is a 2027 C with a 6-0 145 lb. athletic frame from Madera, CA. Started off the event clocking a 7.28 60-yard dash. A primary catcher. Has a staggered set up and one-knee as well. Displayed clean actions and was gaining ground on his throw downs showing good footwork and a quick transition. Threw a 2.12 down to second base and consistently had accurate throws to the bag. Right-handed hitter. Hits from a slightly open stance, hands sit higher by the ear. Small heal turn load. Showed good bat speed with a level swing. Flashed some pull side pop and was on the barrel for the most part. Listed to the Top Prospect list. Good student.
