2024 EC Lumberjack's Workout Showcase
Matthew Zambriski is a 2027 RHP/3B, SS with a 6-4 165 lb. frame from Riverhead, NY who attends Riverhead Senior. Extra-large, broad shouldered frame with long legs and a lean build, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.90 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, side step moving into a leg lift up to the belt, some drop and drive in lower half mechanics but shows a clean and loose arm stroke through the back while getting on top of the ball nicely. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, comes out of the hand cleanly and shows quality life through the zone. 10-4 shape on the breaker up to 73 mph, can throw it with more conviction/maintained arm speed to sharpen the life; flashed a changeup to the arm side up to 73 mph. Nice upside on the mound. Longer arm stroke from first base, tall target for fielders to throw to, shows athleticism and ability to change arm slots/angles while remaining accurate, quickness to turns on throws away from the bag. Right-handed hitter, begins with a narrow and upright stance in the box with a tight hand set. Gets into lower half through load, uses length to create leverage and shows some strength off of the barrel. Gets long and around the ball at times, present bat speed through the zone. Good student.
