Will Cary is a 2024 OF/LHP with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Royston, GA who attends Franklin County. Medium, athletic build with good strength. Primary outfielder, fundamental actions working to the ball, step by step movements, fields the ball with one hand off to the side of the body, carries the weight through and developing arm strength. Throws were accurate around the bag and showed some things to build upon defensively. Recorded throws up to 76 mph. Secondary left-handed pitcher, works from the stretch only, belt high leg lift to balance, medium arm swing in the back to a three-quarters slot. Cuts the fastball to both sides and flashed a two-seamer with arm-side run. Controlled delivery and repeats well. Fastball got up to 76 mph (2116 RPM) and showed a curveball, up to 69 mph (1940 RPM). Left-handed hitter, high hands and a high back elbow in the stance, works hard to get the barrel inside the baseball and hit it to the opposite field. Handsy cut with rotational path through the zone. Good student.
