2025 PG WWBA Workout Showcase (July 5)
Grant Helms is a 2027 1B/RHP/OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Harrisburg, NC who attends Hickory Ridge. Medium frame with lean muscularity, really good athleticism and room to continue to add overall physicality. Nice job on his feet running the 60-yard dash in 6.89 seconds. Primary position 1B, showing familiarity around the bag with accurate foot work and solid work with the leather. Showed first step quickness, good job on his pivot and made accurate feeds up to 84 mph across the diamond. Reps in the outfield as well, moving well through his angles, getting to the ball with game like actions. Presents the glove out front to clean midline transfer and saw throws up to 87 mph back to the infield here with accuracy. RHH with a well-balanced stance, high handset tight to body and hanging leg lift trigger for timing. Really leverages the ball here, plus bat speed and when on time made the ball jump off the barrel. Used the whole field and showed the ability to elevate to the pull side. Components here to be a plus offensive threat moving forward. Elite performer in the classroom as well. Named to the PG WWBA Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
