2024 Puerto Rico National Showcases Qualifier
Jose Santiago Mora is a 2025 OF/RHP/IF with a 6-3 193 lb. frame from San Juan, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Very nice athletic build with some present strength and plenty of athletic projection. Right handed hitter, has a simple load and timer at the plate, short swing for his size and could develop his extension for more power, swings hard enough and has bat speed and creates jump off the barrel, projects to keep improving as a hitter. 7.13 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, has big arm strength that stands out, can improve his aggressiveness and footwork into the ball and his transitions but is plenty athletic enough to learn with repetitions and coaching. Also pitched and showed potential on the mound, side step delivery with some backward lean over the rubber, 3/4's arm stroke that hides the ball well. Fastball worked in the mid-80's and topped out at 87 mph with good sinking life, tended to slow his arm on his curveball. Good student.
