2024 Indianapolis Indoor Showcase
Jacob Shearer is a 2026 RHP/OF, UT with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Westfield, IN who attends Westfield. Primary RHP with a small wiry frame. Throws from the stretch with drop and drive mechanics. Uses a belt high leg lift and throws from a high 3/4 slot. Delivery has good deception and hides the ball well making it hard to pick up. Delivery seems to be pretty synced up for the most part. Fastball worked up to 80 with quality ASR and got in on hitters quick. Went to a slider with good vertical tilt and some depth and late bite. Flashed a change as well in the low-70s. Was able to locate and fill up the zone a good bit. Projectable off the bump.
