2022 Sunshine Northeast Showcase
Charles Vasquez is a 2025 C/RHP/1B/2B with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from New Hyde Park, NY who attends New Hyde Park Memorial. Vasquez worked exclusively from his primary spot behind the dish, using a side saddle set with throws on the SS side of the bag. The arm action for the righty was compact, touching 63 mph with a 2.40 pop time. As the footwork refines and he gains more ground, expect the velocity and pop time to improve. On the offensive end, Vasquez produced some bat speed through the zone with repeatability to the stroke. He generated consistent contact with solid extension, posting an exit velo of 68 mph. Ran a 8.76 sixty yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
