Nolan Benson is a 2027 C/2B, OF with a 5-5 130 lb. frame from Colorado Springs, CO who attends Discovery Canyon. Features a wiry build. Ran an 8.11 60-yard. Showed defensive versatility. Worked out in the outfield, on the infield, and behind the plate. Used a patient approach in the outfield. Caught the ball cleanly. Still developing consistent footwork through the catchpoint. Throws with intent. Was accurate with the majority of throws. Flashed solid glove actions on the infield. Worked through the ball well when glove was on time. Moved fairly well laterally. More arm strength should come as the frame continues to develop. Used a high setup behind the plate. Showcased a quick transfer into accurate throws. Still develop consistent footwork out of crouch. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes an even base stance into a toe tap timing mechanism. Swings on a short, inside-out path. Showed solid bat to ball skills with some feel for the barrel. Can get the bat head out front at times. Adding more strength will allow balls to be driven with more authority. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
