2025 PG WWBA Workout Showcase (July 5)
Nathaniel Maldonado is a 2028 RHP/3B, SS, OF with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Whittier, CA who attends La Mirada. Compact build with well developed musculature and plenty of time to add more physicality. Strong actions and ran the 60-yard dash in 7.44 seconds. Primary position infielder, showing nice feel for the leather and securing the ball with ease. Clean funnel to the midline with smooth transfer to throw. Winding up a bit to throw but showing solid accurate feeds across the diamond up to 83 mph. Reps in the outfield as well, using a two hand gather and working deliberately to the ball. Arm strength plays quite well here too with throws up to 86 mph back to the infield. RHH working from a medium and even stance with high handset and high back elbow, showing good hand rhythm pre-pitch. Some moving parts to synch up but when on time and synched showed nice pop in the bat. Pull oriented approach, with lofted power when he gets extended. Strong athlete who is an elite student as well. Named to the PG WWBA Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.
