Christopher Alvarez is a 2027 RHP/SS with an athletic 5-11 175 lb. frame from Apple Valley, CA who attends Apple Valley HS started off the event clocking a 7.35 60-yard dash. A primary pitcher, secondary infielder. Showcased a balanced, repeatable operation down the mound. Throws from a high 3/4 slot with a longer arm action. Fastball sat 81-86 mph with armside run and looks to use it on the inner half. Paired the heater with an low 70’s curveball. Pitch mixed overwhelmed hitters throughout. Worked out on the infield. Presents glove early. Catches the backhand clean consistently. Was accurate with solid arm strength across, reaching 83 mph during workouts. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes an open stance with a wide base. Shifts weight with a leg lift timing mechanism. Swings on a level path through the zone. Still refining timing consistency. Doing so would allow for a more accurate barrel. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
