2025 PG 13U National Showcase
Easton Mauler is a 2030 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Fort Myers, FL who attends Fort Myers. Medium athletic build with some present strength and more to come. Left handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a high hand load, has good rhythm and timing to his swing and gets the barrel into the zone on time, has some bat speed, worked gap to gap with some impact and made good swing adjustments in the game, has hitting tools. 7.24 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, moves through the ball well with direct routes into his throws, arm works well in a 3/4's arm stroke, tends to work uphill with is throws, made accurate throws. Also worked out at first base and showed solid actions and footwork, made accurate throws with quick exchanges. Will be fine at both positions. Took a turn on the mound, works from a full wind up with a compact delivery and arm action, high 3/4's arm slot, hides the ball well. Fastball was mostly in the upper 70's and topped out at 81 mph with some run and sink. Threw a soft slurvy breaking ball with the beginnings of some spin and bite, also mixed in a change up. Competed well on the mound and threw strikes. Very good student. Selected to play in the 2025 13U PG Select Festival.
